We are very pleased to let you know the construction of the recreation ground perimeter paths will commence on 10th March and will take approximately three weeks. There will be a period of soft landscaping to ensure the site ready for the school holidays.
The work is being carried out by TFN Landscapes. It is being funded by you the villagers of Coaley who have supported our events, a Rural England grant, the village shop and our own Parish Council too.
It will be constructed in sections where possible to avoid disruption but some is inevitable. The front of the rec will present a particular challenge due to the number of entrances. We will display signs to help you and ensure your safety.
CRAG would like to thank the village shop and hall committees for arranging meetings at short notice to sort out the arrangements and for their ongoing support of this community project.
The contractor is responsible for the health and safety of the public and will fence off work areas. The contractor will store materials and plant in the back car park which will take up to four bays.
Volunteers will begin some of the preliminaries in the next two weeks in readiness for contractors coming into site.
CRAG volunteers have worked very hard to achieve this first step and once this is complete will continue with more improvements in time for the summer.Â
