We had a great session this morning making hedgerow crowns, pebble decorating and running around the rec in the sunshine searching for the different tree/bushes that make up our hedgerows. The pebbles will be varnished and will be placed in the sensory garden in the coming weeks.
We were joined today by Tom and his family, Tom runs We Are Hedgy who have kindly sponsored our monthly nature mornings keeping them free of charge for our commmunity.
This morning Elizabeth planted bulbs throughout the sensory garden (with some help from various children!) that we look forward to seeing bloom. Paul also planted a Crab Apple tree on the rec near the bug hotel, this young tree was considered dead by Paul’s Coaley neighbours Paul and Millie several years ago and has been nurtured and is now in its new home on the rec.
